This project implemented a PID controller for a sumo robot object-follower. The sumorobot was designed to meet the Rowan Prof Bots sumo robot competition, and was implemented to have minimal overshoot, minimal steady-state error and a low settling-time. Ultimately, the sumo bot was able to follow a moving object at a fixed distance and account for turning, always stopping directly facing the object.

● Developed electronics and firmware of a new Optical System to perform scanning of moving objects within a prototype electronic safe chassis.
● Extracted scanning data such that it is available on a PC for analysis.
● Evaluated scanning data using tools such as MATLAB to determine optimal scanning speed, light intensity, receiver gain, and board position.

● Designed and built (using DipTrace) a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) that was used to support the MSP430 micro-controller to control the robot.
● Constructed and 3-D printed (using SolidWorks) the chassis and the shield of the robot.
● Contributed to implementing the code (in C) that decides the behaviors of the robot.
● Solved many problems, such as overweighing and malfunctioning. Worked efficiently as a passionate team member under pressure.

Electric Circuit DesignThe intent of this project was to design a prototype underwater remote operated vehicle (UROV) that wascapable of placing a cap on a leaking oil well, as well as pick up and retrieve pieces debris.

● Materialized a recently patented technology, which reconstructs a 3-D object from a 2-D image,
into a commercialize product. Learned image processing.
● Developed a user-friendly UI on MATLAB for this new technology (using GUIDE).

Mimicking the shoot-ship arcade game using Altera DE0 development kit and a LED matrix.

• Designed and coded, from scratch, a Bike Shop application that allows users to rent bike and accessories.

● Constructed an emulator that would be able to model the characteristics of a memristor.

• Developed a responsive Web application that automate water quality collectors/managers/supervisors’
daily task, which involve collecting and managing 6000 bacteria samples per month.
• Computerized processes like: report, schedule routine, enter field results, monitor sample status, monthly progress.
• Used PostgreSQL for databases, Chrome DevTools for debugging, and STS. Wrote test cases.
• Collaborated between different Agile teams to effectively finish sprints on time.
Pothole and cracks detection is critical in the process of maintaining and preserving roads and highways. This project focus on using Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) in road and pothole recognition. The constructed model achieved a 93% of accuracy (for testing dataset) on detecting just potholes, and 77% of accuracy (also for testing dataset) on differentiating between potholes, cracks, and good road.

● Early and accurate diagnosis of Alzheimer’s diseaseis still an unsolved problem. This research
applied machine learning on a non-evasive, early diagnostic tool called "Clock Drawing Test", which
assess a patients level of cognitiveimpairment and help practitioners diagnose Alzheimer’s disease.
● Used three feature selection techniques to extractmost important
features for a diagnosis: a genetic algorithm,a wrapper feature selection method, and a
hierarchical archi-tecture feature selection algorithm.
● The selected features arethen used to train two different classifiers: a neural networkand
a stacked generalization.
● Theresults indicate a differential diagnosis accuracy of high 70%to mid 80%are achievable.
